M.Tech Thesis — early detection of Alzheimer’s disease
- Designed and deployed a high-performing 2D CNN for Alzheimer’s disease classification from MR images, outperforming state-of-the-art methods on accuracy, sensitivity and specificity across different brain planes.
- Preprocessed T1-weighted MRI volumes from the ADNI database into sagittal, coronal and axial slices totalling 94,536 slices, eliminating non-informative slices and addressing head movement and noise.
- Published as “A Novel Approach Towards Early Detection of Alzheimer’s Disease Using Deep Learning on Magnetic Resonance Images” — code on GitHub.
